I just finished a full length show going to broadcast, edited on a G5 with Final Cut Pro 5, My system has the decklink pro card and i want to output to dvcam via the Sony DSR 1800.

My question is what is the best possible method to do this with my system setup ie: SDI or component… etc. keep in mind i am trying to get the best picture and frame accuracy.

Any help would be fine b/c i just installed the decklink card today…..

SDI with embedded SDI audio is the best.

do i have to create a new sdi sequence before i assemble to tape, and if so do i have to render my project over?

SDI is the input video source selection, not your sequence compression scheme. You can choose composite, component and SDI all day long as long as you keep your sequence compression the same (for example 8 bit uncompressed). If you have a DV sequence, you can STILL choose SDI or component as a video input source, as long as you keep the compressor set to DV25.
