A lot of people have mentioned using Xto7 to create a xml from FCPX but where do I go from there? It looks like Protools doesn’t want an xml file. What’s the best solution with the least margin of error to get the XML into an OMF(or AAF) or anything that protools can read.

I could open it up in FCP 7 and convert it to what it needs to be, but I still want to know what other people are doing with the xml file.

    Thanks

Using FCPX on Maverick with Protools 11.

X2Pro Audio Convert by MArquis Broadcast. We use it every day for a similar workflow, and it works.

Yep, X2Pro, hands down. The LE version is cheaper, and is good if you’re in house as it doesn’t do handles and the files are enormous. The Pro version is the one to get. Not cheap, but works flawlessly, and if you’ve set Roles well it’ll split it all out really nicely for you.
