When exporting a 58:30 weekly tv spot, I edit in FCP, then send to Compressor, then use the Program Stream settings. Just curious, I’ve noticed people that export a Quicktime Movie, then take the FCP QT file into Compressor, then use the settings for final exporting.
Is there a certain way to export?
Does this save time or anything? Or, is it just a form of preference?
Also, do these methods vary from formats? (HDV, SD, full HD, etc.)

Exporting a QT Movie, especially as a reference movie, and taking that to Compressor is usually much quicker than the Send to or the Share function.

    All the best,
