Best way to convert HD HQ files to put on DVD5 or DVD9
I am taping soccer games on my HDR-CX350V using HD HQ. File sizes for each half are about 3 GB (total of 6 GB for the whole game).
When I use Sony Vegas Pro Version 9.0, I encode it using the VASST freeware DVD Prep.
The mpg2 file that is outputted is about half the size of the original m2ts file for each half. The problem is I see some horizontal banding on the players’ uniforms when they move quickly.
I am viewing the m2ts and the mpg2 file in Windows Media Player and the m2ts file looks clean with no horizontal banding. Only the mpg2 file has the banding.
Is there a suggested way to get a better mpg2 file? Could I buy and use a different codec to get a cleaner mpg2 file? Or, would it be better for me to record in SD vice HD HQ? Appreciate any suggestions.
