Best way to bring 1080p50 to blu-ray?
Hi there,
I created a little film of my last vacation in Sony Vegas. Now I want to burn this on a blu-ray. I rendered the film in 1080p50 XAVC (because most of my footage uses this properties). I’m aware of the issue, that the blu-ray-standard doesn’t support 50p. As this is my first blu-ray-authoring I don’t have any experience.
It would be nice if an authoring-pro could give me advice: Is it a good idea to convert to 1080i50 or should I stick with 50p and convert to 720p50? Authoring will be done in DVD Architect Pro 6.

I would convert it to 1080-50i. I don’t think that lowering the resolution is worth the benefit of the additional frame rate (if any).

Thanks for your answer. I tried both and 1080i50 is the way to go – as you said.
