    Hi there,

What’s the name of this effect (where text is placed into a scene with perspective and a moving camera)
and what’s the best way to achieve it? Is it done in After Effects or do i need to use Mocha too?

    Text on plane

The verge use it all the time with their reviews.

    Thanks very much.
    James.

Looks like a still image and text layer being rotated in unison. Several ways to implement: single comp; nested comp; or prepped in Photoshop/Illustrator and rotated in an AE comp.

Generally it’s done by motion tracking your scene or camera tracking and then adding text to the scene. Lots of tutorials for that.
