I’ve recently started work with Maya and find the stock Nvida 7300 gt on my Mac Pro 2.66 1.1 inadequate(big surprise)so I’m looking to upgrade. Based on the material I’ve found it would seem I can install a total of 4 video cards (1) PCIe x16 2.0 (3) standard.

I was wondering if the following cards are capable of running multiple cards (SLI or crossfire) on my Mac Pro 2.6 1.1 and the advantages of the cards if any other than the obvious things like ram ect. for running Maya or say After Effect:

    Nvida 7300 GT
    ATI Radeon X1900 XT
    nVidia Quadro FX 4500
    ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
    nVidia GeForce 8800 GT
    nVidia Quadro FX 5600
    Optional ATI Radeon HD 4870

Also if possible I’d like to somehow use the Nivida 7300 currently installed. Any advice is much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    Cheers!
