Any suggestions of what version of Premiere to use for SD editing on a 2.6 Ghz P4 with 4 GB of Ram and WIndows XP Pro? (I know it’s obsolete – it will soon be replaced but in the meantime I want to use it as effectively as possible.) (I’m retiring PPro 1.5)

It appears that 2.0 would be okay (and would benefit from compatiblity with the Matrox RTX.10 installed.)

OTOH, the system is above the minimum recommended for CS4, and I’ve heard that it runs quite effectively even without an accelerator card.

    Suggestions appreciated.

CS 3 or 4 would work well enough, though HD material might be a bit taxing.
