Yea, one of the options on the burn menu of DVD Architect is to burn an ISO. It should be at the bottom of the dropdown list of DVD burners. Then anyone can burn the ISO to a DVD with any program they want.

April 21, 2011 at 6:00 pmTHanks John,
So I would use the ISO Image Writer…
And it will save to my hard drive….
Then I can upload the files to a server…
Once my counterpart can download them, how would they burn it to a dvd so the menu would be there as I created it…
Sorry, I’m just trying to make sure I do it correctly on my end and my counter part knows what to do…
We have families back home that would be grateful to see these videos of my Troops… I just want to do this correctly…
Respectfully,
CPT Cag

They can download the free ImgBurn utility and that will open an ISO file and burn it to DVD. They will, of course, need to have a DVD burner, which probably came with software anyway that already knows how to burn an ISO file.

When you get to select the burn parameters in DVD Architect, select ISO Image Writer from the Device drop down. This will create an ISO file. Like this:
Then use a program like ImgBurn (or any other burning program you like) to burn the ISO file to a disc.

No. Your project cannot be larger than the size of a DVD.

January 12, 2013 at 4:36 pmThis message was very helpful – thanks to both of you for bringing up the topic and the great answer.
I do have one follow up question. I’m currently also rendering a video to be used and shown on a DVD and when I utilize the DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream template it automatically changes my resolution to 480?… is that correct?
When I do try to customize the template so that it is 1920×1080 I receive and error message. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your time and help! 🙂

Yes, NTSC DVD Widescreen is 720×480 PAR 1.2121.

That’s because DVD’s are SD not HD. As my previous answer said, you can’t put HD on an NTSC DVD.
