  • Best settings for combining 1080 60i with 720 30p?

I am looking to find the best method for combining footage from footage shot 1080 60i (Sony FX1) and 730 30p (Canon 500D). I know the footage isn’t going to be a perfect match. I guess I’m trying to make the interlaced footage look progressive. What settings do I need to use when rendering the project? I would like to make a NTSC widescreen DVD and also a Blu Ray disc. Thanks

Just render the project as 720p and Vegas will automatically deinterlace the 1080i footage using the method specified in the render template. Use Blend fields for high-detail, low-motion video and Interpolate for high-motion, low-detail video.

No. It is only applied when deinterlacing and since progressive isn’t interlaced it doesn’t get affected.
