best settings AE to FCP?
How cowers! I do my bread and butter work in AE 7 and then once everything’s together, I put it all in Final Cut Pro. My question is what settings are best to not lose generations when rendering between the two? I noticed that when I render my AE files (by clicking make movie “lossless” best quality) I get a substantially larger file. After rendering the same file in Final Cut Pro 5 (using “export movie”)…the file size decreases dramatically. Really, the quality doesn’t seem too different but I’m shooting for best quality I can get here!
What’s the best method for interacting between these two awesome programs? Best output methods?Another question… I deinterlaced (using the deinterlace footage tut found on the cow site) footage in AE 7 but then took my final rendering into FCP. Deinterlacing takes up quite a bit of hard drive space! Does the footage stay deinterlaced after being rendered in FCP? and (probably a dumb question) is deinterlacing really worth it? My upcoming project is wedding footage on a crappy JVC minidv consumer level 1CCD camera. I’m trying to make up for the poor quality of the camera with high quality editing!
