As I mentioned in my original post (*below) with a motley, mixed-bag from YouTube I’m trying to preserve what quality I can. I think I’ve found a good Seq setting but is set or locked at 30 (Editing Time Base), I guess that’s ok but wanted to vet that here.

    1280×720 HDTV 720p (16:9)
    Square
    Field Dom – None
    Editing Time Base 30
    Apple ProRes 422

I’m pretty sure my deliverable is an NTSC dvd but that has been known to change.

    Sound ok given the variables?

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul

That is what I would do.

We also convert any files from YT to PR422/29.97/native pixel size.
Just keep in mind that if you scale SD clips(in a HD seq) over 100% you will most likely start to see quality issues.

If you don’t need to deliver HD and the majority of the clips are SD I would edit in SD 16×9 as you gain little with an HD sequence of SD clips going to SD DVD.

Thanks Brad, that close to what I’m doing. I’d prefer 29.97 but as I mentioned Seq setting but is set or locked at 30 (Editing Time Base) and provides no way I see to chg it to 29.97
