    Hello all,

I am working on a large DVD project filmed mostly in PAL SD Anamorphic 16:9 widescreen. I am adding some footage to be shot with a Sony NX5 NTSC edition. I wanted to get input on the best format settings to use.

The project will eventually also be converted to NTSC DVD via DV Atlantis. Would I be correct in assuming that one of the 24p modes would be best for this, then interpret as 25fps? Audio distortion is not an issue with the change in frame rate.

    Thanks,

    Sean

Yes, I’d shoot 24p and upspeed (aka conform) it to 25p for PAL – very fast and great quality. Don’t just “treat” it like PAL, but change the playback rate.
