  • Best project settings for a slideshow video

Hoping somebody can steer me in the right direction here. I’m putting together a video that contains slideshow videos from a trip to Europe that my wife and I took. It will ultimately go on DVD and on large screens so I would like to preserve the quality of the images as much as possible.

    My process has been:
Import photos into Aperture to touch up.
Export to iPhoto to create slideshows (one per travel day)
Export video slideshow from iPhoto and import into Final Cut Pro 6 (to add captions, transitions, music etc…).

Assuming that my project setting for the iPhoto export and FCP should match so there will be no rendering, what should those settings be?

    Thanks,

    Dan

I don’t know the iPhoto export options, but, try also to use the best codec available.

Thanks Rafael, any thoughts on what the best codec might be for this application?

If you have Prores available that would be good.
