  • Best preset setting for C-300?

Posted by Kevin Allar on August 6, 2012 at 9:26 pm

Can someone tell me the best settings to set-up a project for the Canon C-300, 1080p, at 29.97? Been using the DSLR presets but not sure if that’s the best way to go.

    Thanks

The C300 uses the same format as other Canon XF camcorders. The presets don’t really change anything in terms of performance (at least I assume not, they’re both mpeg based camera codecs), so if it matches the framerate/size of your footage you’re good to go. Both the DSLR and Canon XF presets do preview rendering in MPEG I-frame.

You’ll find it under “Canon XF MPEG2” in the “Sequence Presets” menu.
