Best Premiere Pro CC workflow for a “Best-Of” episode
Hi,
We are twisting our brains trying to figure out the best workflow for a “best-of” episode for a episodic television show, edited on premiere pro CC 2014.
The show consists of ten episodes (22 min pr ep, 50-60 shooting days, 5+ TB of material) and for the “best of” and the “behind the scenes” episodes, we want to import, reedit, scroll through material from all the previous episodes.
Simplest workflow, as far as we can tell:
Opening the different projects in the media browser, or multiple media browser windows, copying and pasting the parts we want into the “best-of” project or sequence.Simple. But. When we do that, we are not able to match-frame the material once were back in the “best-of” sequence. That is, every now and then it works, regardless of wether the material is present in the best-of project or not. Sometimes I can find the material in the project (shift+f) but not match frame it.
Also, when copying parts of a sequence into the “best-of”, you’d think the relevant material would be copied as well. Sometimes it is, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes a few files are copied.
Has anyone done a project like this, and what was you workflow of choice?
Thanks!
