Can anyone comment on best practice for using multiple P2 cards. I have 3 8MB p2 cards, not sure if each card should be written to one at a time. Then use the P2 store to transfer card 1 while card 2 is being recorded.

Yep…you got it. As soon as a card fills up, take it out and offload it, putting the third card in it’s place. This way you should have non-stop capabilities.

There are a lot of best practices to follow. Make sure you have labelled your cards. I also label the end of my cards with a different coloured dot so I know which card I have just inserted and which was was already in there.

If I’m managing card clips or formatting, I always eject everything other than the card Im fiddling with.
Glue the rubber boot into the P2 cards box and make sure that the cards are only ever in the box or the camera.
Always write protect the card once you remove it from the camera, esp if going to a computer.

Just some off the top of my head.

    Richard
