  • Best practices for DVD authoring of AE animations for mixed use?

Ok – I am a relative beginner, using AE 6.5 on a WIN XP Pro system to create video animations from stills. These are relatively short productions – perhaps up to 30 minutes on a disc.

My question: What are some suggestions for getting best quality results burned on DVD for mixed TV/computer/projection viewing?

So far, I have managed to get consistent functioning by rendering animations as MPEG2 files using NTSC standard settings, then burning the DVD’s using NERO Vision Express (altho my NERO software seems to have gotten buggy lately – but that is a separate issue, I think).

I am wondering if I can get better visual resolution, in particular, and perhaps smoother motion by rendering with other settings or burning with other programs? The audio seems to be satisfactory as is.

Thanks for anyone’s expertise – I hope this is the proper forum!!

When exporting out of AE, keep field-render set to none.
