Dragan – looks good. That should work much better than your current system. Is that the ASUS G-series with a USB 3.0 port? I don’t recall a Firewire, so you may want to look at a good portable, USB 3.0 external drive with it.

Todd, thanks for replying. Yes you are correct. It is the G series with a USB 3.0 on the side. Here is the exact model number G73SW-BST6

I don’t see a USB 3.0 in the specs. I know ASUS has a similar model with a USB 3.0 in the specs. I think you will probably want that as well, since the system doesn’t have Firewire capabilities. Which then begs the question… how you getting your footage into it?

I will double check. But u can swear that in the store they showed me that it had the USB3 port. Thankfully I dont havr to capture as I am working with Sony EX1 and can just transfer the files.

What do you think ASUS vs HP similar machine.

Def HP before ASUS. All depends on your budget. HP will most likely cost a little more.
