    Hi Creative Cow!

I am working on producing content for a video mapping project. I am using Premier to create video with two different non-standard aspect ratios. I am looking for the best frame size optimized for video mapping onto a 5’x25′ (1:5) and 15’x25′ (3:5) screen. I didn’t know what data to base my calculations on, so I started a project in Premier with a 216 (w) x 1080 (h) frame size for the 1:5 sequence and a 648 (w) x 1080 (h) for the 3:5 sequence. I only did this so one of my dimensions (height) would match that of a standard 1080 project. Does anyone have any suggestions for which frame size would be best?

    I appreciate your consideration. Thanks!

Interesting aspect ratios. I would certainly start by finding out the exact pixel dimensions of the display device(s) and create files based on 1:1, pixel for pixel dimensions.

I produced several videos for LA Live. 20 multi-format, synchronized video displays, most with weird dimensions. Each video was edited in a sequence set specifically for the exact pixel dimensions of the particular display.

Thanks for the help! I will request the pixel dimensions from the tech team and base the frame size upon that. I will have different files for each individual screen that I will map out using MadMapper.
