Best Mac to run Avid Composer on
Hi. I am about to build out my own personal Avid. I would like dual monitors and will use a Mac. Anyone know the easiest way to do this and what Avid is best? Would it be best to have a tech come and build it out? I do have experience with all this technology. THANKS!

BEST? Well, the new MacPro tube will, as will the MacBook Pros…all the iMacs…MacMinis will. Not sure the new MacBook can…it’s processor is a mobile one (used in iphones). MacBook Air would barely cut it. So…the question is, what’s your budget?
And you really only need a tech if you are going beyond simply installing the software onto a computer. If you want to add HDTV or broadcast monitor, you’ll need an IO device…either Avid or third party. And that’ll take a tech to set up, if you aren’t technically inclined.
