  • Best lens adaptor for HVX-200?

Hi guys. Just re-opening our studio here after we shut down for a year and we’re investing in lens adaptors and a matte box for our HVX-200. We’re looking at the Vocas MB-250 and possibly the letus 35 extreme adaptor. My question is this: What lense mount configuration would you recommend for film-style shooting (ie shallow depth-of field, etc.)? What lenses? Nikon AI? Zeiss? Canon EF? Also, will this adaptor work with the Vocas Matte box? (we’ve heard bad things about the Chrosziel matte box!) Any input would be most appreciated!

    Thanks guys!

The Red Rock adapter is probably one of the best received. Very reasonably priced. You’d need to speak with them as to compatibility with any matte box (https://www.redrockmicro.com/).

FWIW, I’ve got the Chrosziel and absolutely love it. Never heard anything bad. To the contrary, it’s like the “Rolls Royce” of matte boxes.
