The best method I have seen is under leopard set up a user account and put parental controls on it. You can give it a list of websites that you will allow the account to access. The account will only be able to access the websites you put on the list. As for a program that will filter everything, I have no idea.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

    Thanks Zane.
Sadly I am still on Tiger, and being poor, I have no compelling reason to upgrade.

So I have shifted to using Firefox with a great free extension that does the trick without the tedium of adding individual whitelisted or blacklisted urls.

The Parental Controls option is there in Tiger as well.

As Zane said, set up a user account for the family members.
With yourself logged in as Administrator, go to System Preferences>Accounts. Select the user name, click the
“Parental Controls” tab, and set up as you wish. You cannot apply Parental Controls to an Administrator’s account.
