Going to be shooting with HVX200 onto tape.

The final output will be Youtube. It’s all behind the scenes footage. Quick and dirty stuff. Will be editing in Final Cut Pro 6.06. Never worked with the HVX, mostly with Sony.

Question: What would be the best settings (ie, format, shutter, etc.) for the tape format.

If I want the 24P look, should I shoot 24PA? Things like that.

    Thanks!

    24P look

If you are going to edit at 23.98, shoot 24pA and remove the pulldown when you capture the footage.
If you are going to edit at 29.97 shoot 24p and capture as 29.97.

Other settings are based on what, when and how you are shoot and what look you are going for.

Only format to tape is DV so that takes one step out of it for you.
