Best H.264 workflow?
Posted by Brad Ballew on January 19, 2012 at 11:09 pmI love Premier but my H.264 exports leave a lot to be desired. I have tinkered for about as long as I can stand. What would you suggest as a good workflow? I was thinking of converting through quicktime player.

January 19, 2012 at 11:32 pmHi Brad.
All of my h.264 exports through Adobe Media encoder (CS5.X) are always stunning. I have never failed to get a pristine conversion. Not sure why you are having troubles, but can you post your workflow in detail? Maybe there is a problem there that can be identified.
All the best,Rich

January 19, 2012 at 11:35 pmWhat computer platforms are you both on? Also, I see 2 ways to export. One is H.264 the other is QT H.264. I guess you need to specify which one you are referring to for clarity’s sake.

January 19, 2012 at 11:55 pmActually I figure it out. It was so simple. When exporting I was choosing Quicktime and then selecting H.264 as my codec. I guess I missed the H.264 option in the drop down menu. I just tried that using a pretty high bitrate and like you said.. my video looked stunning.
