Best Group to discuss 8 core machine?
Don’t want to bog down beating an old horse but I am going to build a new machine primairly for AE CS3 and a lot of Invigarator etc … rendering is killing me now.
I currently have
AMD 6000+ Duo Core
4 gigs ram
Windows xp 64 bit
Simple graphics card nvidia 7300IS everyone happy with the eight core stuff and what is the configuration
Also what about the new AMD spider platform.. Is that going to benifit us with the whole design of the chipset with the native quad … WOuld love to hear from the tech guys..

Not trying to turn you into a mac user or anything but I personally like macs better since they work in conjunction with Final Cut Pro/Motion, etc… Their new Penryn processors are supposed to come out January.
