Best GPU for CS5 AE, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
Hello gurus.
It seems to me that every article/promo around GPUs are centered on gaming. I am building a new machine with
i7-2600K,
16GB Ram,
120GB SSD,
2TB HDD,
Win 7-64bit.My sticking point is the GPU i should choose. This is NOT going to be a gaming machine, photo retouching, video editing and visual effects/color grading. I was thinking NVIDIA GTX570 but wondering if i am just wasting money and generating heat that needs to be dissipated with more fans, bigger PSU yada yada.
My question is, given what the new system is intended for, what GPU should i invest in ( i need dual DVI output) that will ensure i am not wasting money. Any help, advice and comments would be greatly appreciated

Forget about the graphics card for After Effects. It doesn’t really matter for After Effects. Anything that you get that’s good for Premiere Pro will be fine for After Effects.
Regarding Premiere Pro, only certain video cards provide the CUDA processing feaures. Those cards are listed here. Details about CUDA processing in Premiere Pro are described in detail here.
