Hello,I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and I have a 30min short film that I want to put on a CD so my actors can use it for thier reels. (I’ve found that giving them a DVD puts them in the position of having to decript it and the footage quality is lousy)
Can you suggest a format that would be best for this? Mpeg2 for DVD? WMV 9? etc.
    Thanks Raymond

If they are going to use it for their reels…give it to them as a DATA CD/DVD with DV formatted video clips.

This can be brought into any NLE, which is what they will need if they want to prep their reel for the web.

In other words, you’re giving them raw segments they will likely be incorporating into a longer piece where the encoding for web will happen as the last stage.

    Hope that helps…

    Alex
