best for rendering: 7200 rpm internal or fw400 external?
Hi,
running a 2.2 c2d macbook (not pro).Any idea if i would have better render times if my files (source and render) were on external firewire drives? (only have FW400 here).
or USB2?
(I would be comparing a 7200 rpm internal 250 gig drive to whatever fw400 or USB2 external drive is the fastest.)
Would beefing up to 4 gigs ram do anything?
Also, makes me wonder what the Turbo .264 usb hardware device actually does; could something like this be modified to ‘boost’ render times for macbook people?
Observations/ suggestions welcomed. Thanks
