best file formats and compression for webbed
Hi,
I have a client who makes power point presentations and we have tried to use his slides to make a video in FCP X that will be narrated and run as a webinar.
even outputting an ,mp4 at 1280 results in a softening of the text and graphics. And on screen for the webinar, the softening is even worse. As long at the text isn’t too small, I’m OK, but are there any rules to working this way that might increase the sharpness if the text and images?

If there isn’t much animation or video try increasing key frame distance to 90-120 frames (or longer), increase maximum bit rate, and use multi-pass encoding. If the slides are all static (text and images only) also try reducing frame rate to maybe 6-10 fps.
What export settings are you using? It would be helpful if you posted a screen capture.
