    Best export settings to project file on 1024×768 projector

    Hi, I have a 1920×1080 film that will be displayed on a Sanyo xm-100 short throw projector (5,000 lumens, 1024×768). I was wondering what the best output for the film would be and what settings I should use in compressor to achieve this. Should I export at 1080, 720 or custom 768? The film will be played from a PC connected to the projector. Any help would be awesome, thanks!

    Your source is 16:9 (widescreen) and the projector is only 4:3 at the 1024×768 unfortunately. Short of finding a better projector, I think I’d be converting the HD footage to 1024×768 as letterboxed video. The quality will be somewhere between 720p and SD video.

    Export as .mp4 for playback compatibility.
