Best Configuration for Avid DS v8
We are upgrading our DS platforms to v8. We have clients that are using Sapphire version 1 and version 2 both on AVX1 and AVX2 platforms. What is the configuration we should have on our DS systems in order to be able to conform all types.
BTW, and probably more importantly, is the Avid DS able to deal with the AVX2 platform at all?

Hi, Jeff. Currently, Avid DS does not support AVX2. However Sapphire v2 (AVX1 version) does work fine on it, even including some AVX1.5 features like optional inputs in tree mode.
You should be able to conform your customers’ sequences if they use either Sapphire v1 or v2, as long as they stick to the AVX1 version.
