I am producing more and more content in Ultra HD and I have heard much talk about the new h265 codec and the VP9 codec. Does anyone know if Adobe is likely to support either of these codes in Media Encoder?

I hear Avid are launching a set of Ultra HD DNX codecs which have always been free up to now and we regularly have used them for mastering HD projects. Has anyone experience of the beta versions?

Using the Black Magic pro deck I’ve been able to make pro-res ultra HD which is very nice but not everyone has in the PC world has pro-res.

These guys make very nice servers and will happily take 10bit DPX image sequence files which is fab, however its a bit overkill for many simple solutions.

Of course they will, but when?

You should ask in the Avid forum.:)
