I’m an FCP user slowly migrating over to Premiere Pro. I love working in prores because it just renders and exports fast. Yes, there is the prep time transcoding everything but I find it beneficial in the long run. Premiere Pro can handle several different codecs in the same project and that’s cool in a pinch. But I find the rendering and export time to be waaaaay to long. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend the best codec (fastest) to use within Premiere. Would it still be Prores? I brought in some XDCAM fottage and did a rough preview edit of selects and then went to export it and the timetable was unbearable. Anyway.. just picking y’alls brains here – as we say in Nashville. Thanks! – Brian
