Best Codec for capturing Beta SP & 3/4 UMatic?
I have about 50 hrs of irreplaceable interviews shot on BetaSp and 3/4 some 15 years ago and would like to capture them in the highest quality possible (with the gear I presently own). The gear consists of a Sony Beta Sp UVM-1200 RGB and a UMatic 3/4. Both have been recently serviced. I also have a Sony Media Converter model DVMC-DA2. I plan to purchase the needed drive space. I would like to know what FCP Codec to use upon capture and if my equipment will give me the results I require. Thanks for the help.

Well your gear limits you to DV only. Would need a capture card or box to do better. Which you can a bit.
