    This is probably such a silly question, but here goes…

    Say you have a tape with 35 minutes of video on it, and you need a multitude of 15 – 20 second clips from the tape. Now taking into account the fact that you have plenty of drive space available, is it better, logistically speaking, to just capture the entire tape and work from that 35 minute clip, or capture all clips as separate files. My main concern is that I’ve got 10 of such tapes, and logging the large number of individual clips would take forever. I guess what I mean is, does it tax Premiere to work with a few large AVI files more than a couple of hundred small ones?
