I have a small production company that is beginning to work a lot more in High def formats, and so will want to record to high def on blu-ray. As I am primarily more on the camera side of things I would like to know what brand of Blu-ray is best for an independent small production company that is seeking to expand.

I think he is asking about a recorder but it is not clear.

But the Playstation 3 is awesome and most future proof of any player. The up-convert maybe the best of BR players also.

We’ve had great luck with the new LaCie external Blu-ray burner. It connects via firewire and can be moved between machines easily.

    Cheers!
