Best audio workflow

I’m curious as to how everyone is handling more complex audio mixing for Premiere? It’s integration with Audition and Soundbooth kind of abysmal in comparison to FCP and Soundtrack Pro (The only trump card FCP has left honestly, but that’s another discussion).
I prefer mixing fully in Audition, but I find it an extreme hassle to rebuild sequences, so for most video work I mix in Premiere and then take problem clips out to Audition or Soundbooth (still feels cumbersome)
I guess I could live with mixing within Premiere Pro for the time being since it can mix 5.1…. but at that point, can anyone recommend some audio plugins? I would LOVE a better compression plugin, or audio mastering collection. Truth be told I haven’t much searched for one though.
