best audio compression to use in audio only QT mov
Hi all. I am new to the forum.
I have been a bit out of the loop for a few years on what the latest, most compatible audio compressions being used are. A client needs to deliver .mov files for use on CD-ROM for an educational project. Some years back when I first did this work for them, we delivered QT IMA 4:1 compressed audio. These files are making their clients machines choke (I am guessing they are no longer compatible with the newest QT.)So I am looking for the best compression for audio-only .mov files to be delivered on CD-ROM. It does have to be .mov files apparently.
I am considering AAC, m4a, mp4. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Why not just upgrade Quicktime. It’s free.

MPEG-4 AAC 320 kbps would be my choice.
