  • Best approach for tracing an old logo (car)?

    Hello

I’m in a car remodeling club, specially an old car, that has an acrylic top.
The logo does not exist anymore, and we would like to convert a picture of it into vector, as high of a quality as possible.
The problem is than we use live trace, it gives a lot of difference when comparing it to the logo, even when tampering with the settings for live trace.
Can any of you guys give the best approach how to do this? or if it is easy, give us an example of it, and maybe tell us how you did it? – we want them as precise as possible to resemble the original logo.
Here are the two different pictures we need to convert to vector:

Thank you in advance – we have the highest point of all the logos measured, so scaling it correctly is not the problem, it is making all the shapes resemble the original as close as possible.

Tracing is always a compromise in quality. Best to hire someone that can use Illustrator professionally to draw the logo. Should cost you $50-100.
