I have an object that I would like to apply multiple materials to. The materials consists of full hd video clips. The object is editable and 30 contiguous polygons will be used to display each clip.

My questions is what is the easiest way to select the contiguous polygons and apply the materials.

I am on R15, by the way.

If I understand correctly, you want to apply 30 different animated textures to 30 polygones, correct?

Actually I have an object with many polygons (It’s a stylized letter J). On the outside of the J are uniformly spaced polygons. I want to apply a texture to each group of 30 contiguous polygons. Think of a video wall, but curved and closed.

I could select the 30 polygons, set the selection, and then place a material on the object and have it apply to the selection. I don’t know how many groups of 30 I will end up with, so it could take a while to do these series of steps.

So I am asking other what method they would choose, if there are other methods.
