Beams of light
I was wondering whether with a shot that has already been…shot…can you add lighting to it? We have a shot of a girl that we want to add a top light onto her. It was physically impossible to shoot it and was hoping to add a glow to the top of her head and shoulders…any ideas?

Masks on an Adjustment layer with Exposure or Levels like these two tuts should do what you want:
