i just upgraded our machines between projects to 10.4.9. FCP 5.1.4

now our BCC 4 plugins will not display the controls in the filters tab, this even after following the whole caps lock on/off steps

anyone else having issues after upgrading?

    thanks

ps with the new cow interface where is the link to update your profile?

Go to the Boris website. This is a known issue and you need to run a script to re-install the BCC4 filters in FCP 5.1.4

    thanks Walter,

I had already looked on the boris site, is the script you are referring to the one marked for Intel machines?

we are all power pc here, does that make any difference?

Download the release notes and carefully follow the directions.

Most of the fix deals with deleting the FCP ObjectCache and Profs Cache. The script Walter refers to pertains to problems between BCC4 and Calligraphy on Intel Macs. Since your running a Power PC it probably doesn’t apply.
By the way I’ve found that you may have to delete the cache files on more than one occasion.

I’ve had and been using the workaround for the known issues since 5.1.2 and have been following the capslock and trash preferences instructions to the letter.

since going to 5.1.4 now the capslock and trash prefs instructions are having no effect, with boris either putting a black cross through the clip or not showing the controls in the filter tab.

I’m puzzled as to why this is happening and asking whether 5.1.4 created a new set of issues for BCC and FCP

Perhaps you should post this on the BorisFX forum where someone from Boris often replies, or contact Boris directly. They have excellent support.
