Batch update Redcine-X RMD adjustments in Adobe Premiere Pro
When you adjust your clips in Redcine-X Pro and reopen Premiere Pro, you may have noticed that these adjustments aren’t instantly updated. Within Premiere Pro, you have to right-click each RED .R3D file and select “Source Settings” then click on “Reload from RMD”. There is no way within Premiere to refresh all your files at once which, for 100+ clips, can be a daunting task
I’ve created a utility for Windows users that removes all Premiere Pro adjustments. This utility forces Premiere Pro to reload the current RMD settings for every RED .R3D file in the project.
This may also be useful since you can export an XML from Premiere, load it into Redcine-X, colorgrade, and then use the utility. You avoid the slight hassle of reimporting and relinking the project that Redcine-X generated and you avoid the transitions and effects that get stripped during the XML process.
Check it out, and let me know if it’s useful.
