  • Batch Renaming Marks in Sony Vegas

I found some of Johnny Rofrano’s batch Sony Vegas scripts very useful.
Like RegionsAtEvents.cs and another script that renames regions taking the original filename of the source video. Thought I would post here, before I annoy him with an email.

Is there a script that renames marks on the sony vegas timeline?
I mark 100s of frames on the timeline and use a script to export all these as pictures, like
    Pic0001.jpg
    Pic0002.jpg
    Pic0003.jpg
    Pic0004.jpg
    Pic0005.jpg

But it would be better if I could rename these marks first, like
    FunnyVideo01-Pic0001.jpg
    FunnyVideo01-Pic0002.jpg
    FunnyVideo01-Pic0003.jpg
    FunnyVideo01-Pic0004.jpg
    FunnyVideo01-Pic0005.jpg
Where FunnyVideo01.mp4 is the name of the original source video.

    Any help with this?
    Link to webpage help?

    Have a great day!

    Thank you,
    Ivo

In your example, the easiest thing to do would be to simply add the “FunnyVideo01-” after your files have exported using a Batch Rename utility–I use something called ReName, which I consider indispensible. It’s freeware. If you want to do it within Vegas, then try something like Vegasaur. There are lots of options for naming Markers. It’s not free though.
