Hey again, all! I’m currently in need of a bit more help with my editing project. I’ve left a screenshot to illustrate what I’m working on:

So I have 9 “episodes” in the above project, indicated by regions. Is there a way to automate this process so I don’t have to manually create a region 9 times?

Again, thank you so much! 🙂

Given the fact that you have 9 different regions, each with differing numbers of events of different lengths, the short answer is probably “no”. Scripting add-on’s like Vegasaur have a really nice capability for creating regions that I use all of the time. E.g. create a region around 50 selected events, with a name corresponding to the “active take name”. Very easy. Then I can batch render 50 wav files or something. There is also some freeware, Timeline Tools, that I believe can create regions. What you want is really a lot more complex. Moreover, the reality is that you only have 9 regions, that could be created in less time than I took writing this post. Move the cursor to your start point, enter i, move the cursor to your end point, enter o, and then enter R, type in your name and you’re done. Pretty quick–unless I’m missing something.
