Batch Reassign Audio Tracks?
Hi Everyone,
Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post, but I couldn’t find a more general audio forum.
I have hundreds of audio/video files, each of them containing 8 discrete tracks of audio. Each of these audio tracks’ assignment is set to “Mono”. I want to change them all so they are set to a 5.1 + 2.0 stereo pattern (L, R, C, LFE, LS, RS, LT, RT). Is there a way to do this that is faster than opening each individual file in Quicktime and changing the track assignments one at a time?
I use a Mac, but I can also work with Windows options.

I’m not sure if this would help, but checkout Sound Devices Wave Agent. Certain NLEs may also allow this batch change of metadata.
