  • Batch List import problems in v5

Create batch lists in an Excel template that I have no problem importing into FCP4.5. Working at clients where they have v5 and, of course, can’t import my batch list.

Tried exporting browser and working and using that as a template (saving the Excel as tab delimited etc…) and, of course, no luck. Any suggestions out there?

Try keeping it very simple… just use Media start, media end, reel, name, and tracks…?

I kept it very simple. Exported a batch list, opened that document and added a clip with just reel name and start/end points. This did not work.

I’m having the same problem. I have exported a list that will re-import OK but cannot add entries that FCP 5.0 will accept. Just takes old entries and skips the new ones. Worse is if I start a new batch, it says there is a problem with headers and won’t take anything.
