I have a couple hundred :30 spots that need to be uploaded to a server. I have to convert these files from RTV (video toaster) to MPEG2. AE has been the best tool for me in the past, one file at a time… but is there an easy way to batch process these bad boys?

    Thanks!

    Sorenson Squeeze?

I tried that. Sorenson doesn’t work with .RTV files.

    Ugh. Try this:

    1. set up the default render settings and output modules to your desired settings
    2. select all 30 footage items in the project window
    3. drag them to the new comp button at the bottom of the project window
    4. in the dialog, check “multiple compositions” and “add to render queue”. Hit OK.

You should have all those items in the render queue now, set to the default render settings and output modules.

    Give it a go …
