I was excited that they were going to show something new.

This is the method I have been using since the beginning. This isn’t a batch export.

This is a keyboard shortcut to make exporting many items a little bit faster, but it is still one at a time.

If you had 300 movies, you had to hit export 300 times and return 600 times.

I really respect the Ripple guys, but this is a bit of a stretch.

    Sorry to be so negative.

I agree, Jeremy. I recently had 50+ projects to export and used this, but it’s anything but a replacement for real batching. Oh well, it’s sure to come and it’s an ok “hack” for smaller tasks I ‘spose. 😉 It’s the thought that counts. 😀

I questioned it too. Wondered if Steve actually knows what batch export is. He also mentions in there that exporting from FCP X is better because it utilizes the render files. Uh…. when was this decided? There have been so many threads here comparing export times from rendered and non-rendered projects and the only thing I’ve discovered is that nobody know what is going on. It definitely seems like sometimes it does. But other times it certainly does not. Changing the hot key is a good tip for sure though.
